Meet the Team
The Albaugh and Son’s team is made up of experienced, personable employees who pride themselves on being professional and dedicated to completing every job the right way. Whether it’s painting, fence installation, or any other service, all of our team members work together on each job.
Nick Albaugh, Jr. – Owner
Nick spent most of his life dairy farming in Frederick until Albaugh and Sons was created. He has 2 sons and a daughter, as well as 8 grandchildren.
He meets with most of our clients and gathers information about the project to provide fair, accurate proposals for all of our jobs — from fence installation to interior painting to bush hogging.
Nick Albaugh, III – Owner
A skilled carpenter and expert contractor with more than 15 years of experience, Nick III holds a bachelor’s degree from Mount Saint Mary’s University in business and finance as well as an associate’s degree from Frederick Community College in business. Nick enjoys spending time outdoors with his wife and three children. In the evenings they can often be seen playing with their chickens.
Nick heads up our deck division, fence division and assists with all facets of the business including meeting with potential clients for free at home estimates.
Brooks Albaugh – Owner
Brooks has 15 years of experience in the carpentry business and specializes in the cosmetic side of the work performed by Albaugh and Sons. He’s a master at trim work, tile work, siding, drywall, and painting. Brooks resides in Frederick with his wife, daughter and step-daughter and enjoys making music on his drums.
When you are looking to remodel your space, Brooks will breathe life into your vision. From the beginning to the final product he will be part of making your new space a reality.
Brian Smith (Smitty) – General Project Manager
Coming up on 7 years with Albaugh & Sons, Smitty has been involved with and has learned the necessary skills for all of the different trades that we offer. He specializes in interior trim carpentry with great customer service! Growing up in Frederick, he played baseball for Frederick High and learned to build custom furniture from his father.
Smitty is a charismatic leader who’s positive attitude, strong work ethic and great energy resonates with his crew and the homeowners. Working as a Project Manager he is responsible for meeting with homeowners to discuss project details, see the project through, as well as ensure that our services meet and exceed your expectations.
Danny Wood – Deck Project Manager
Danny brings over 30 years of experience in the home improvement business to Albaugh & Sons and is currently focusing on our deck division. Residing just outside of Hagerstown, he enjoys hunting, fishing and spending time with his 3 grandchildren.
He believes that quality work and customer satisfaction are the most important aspect of any project and why we have tasked him with the deck division. Danny’s knowledge, experience and reliability are a tremendous asset to our team.
Regardless of the job, our crews approach every project with the same attitude: the hard work they put in to each project results in your home and property looking its very best.
Rogelio May Jr. (Junior) – Paint Project Manager
Junior has been in the painting industry for over 15 years! Although this is just the beginning of what he brings to our team. Junior operates and manages our entire paint division. Once your job is scheduled, Junior will meet with you and review the entire scope of work. He will take the time to make sure you “the client” are 100% satisfied. Not only will you love the product Junior provides, his outgoing personality and positive attitude will make every site visit one to look forward too!
Junior has been a resident of Frederick for 30 years graduating from Frederick High school. He is a loving father of 2 children and enjoys his time away from work spending it with his family and friends. We are blessed to have him part of our team and look forward to you having the chance to experience his work and professionalism!
Brian Murray – Electrical Project Manager
Brian Murray joined Albaugh and Sons full time in September 2019. Brian is a Project Manager and he leads our newest division, electrical. He is a Licensed Master Electrician and has been in the electrical field for 15 years. Brian can assist you with anything from everyday electrical repairs to re-wiring an entire house, wiring hot tubs and spas, all types of recessed lighting, small commercial projects, service upgrades and much more.
In his spare time, Brian enjoys playing music and spending time with his wife and son. Brian, his wife and Brooks write, play and record the Albaugh & Sons commercials on the local radio stations!
George Rodriguez – Fence Project Manager
George has been in the fencing business for 20 years. He’s been with Albaugh & Sons for a little over 3 years. George is our lead fence project manager; he takes great pride in his work and customer satisfaction is very important to him. George operates and manages our entire fence division. Once your job is signed, George will meet with you and review the entire scope of work.
In his spare time, George can be seen cooking in the kitchen or watching tv. He especially enjoys watching soccer and football. George looks forward to working with you on your next fence project!
Austin Shay – General Project Manager
Austin joined our team in February, 2020. Austin has been in the remodeling business for 16 years. Austin can do anything from a large scale addition to a fine detail job of trim and tile. When not at work, he enjoys spending time with his family, kayaking, snowboarding and playing sports with his daughter. Austin looks forward to working with you on your next home improvement project.
Kati Gastley – Office Manager
Kati joined our team in July 2019. She earned an A.A. degree in Paralegal and worked in the legal field for 15 years before coming on board at Albaugh & Sons. Kati is a multi-functional employee overseeing job scheduling, product ordering, building permit applications and accounts receivable. Kati resides in Frederick, Maryland with her husband, two daughters and two fur babies. Her dedication to the job and friendly personality are attributes she brings to our business.
Joann Rose – Administrative Assistant
Joann joined our team in August of 2018. She earned a bachelor’s degree from Roanoke College and a M.Ed. in counseling from Millersville University. She worked for several years as a school guidance counselor. Joann works primarily for our painting/remodeling division. Originally from Lancaster, Pennsylvania she and her husband now reside in Mount Airy, Maryland. They are the parents of two grown daughters.
